Donation Options

There are a variety of ways to support the Butchers Hill Association. By clicking the Donate button to the right, you will to a page where you can make a one-time donation using credit or debit card or PayPal. If you are interesting in donation on behalf of the current campaign, there is a space for a note on the donation page. Simply note “current campaign” or “bump-out.”

In addition, PayPal users have the option of creating a recurring donation; your chosen amount will be automatically charged to your account each month.

If you have a business, organization, or event that you want to broadcast, a sponsorship of the BHA House Tour or Garden Tour is a great way to reach many people in and around the neighborhood. Watch the newsletter for announcement of sponsorship levels and deadlines.

Another option to donate is by writing a check and mailing it to the Butchers Hill address.

And, the simplest way is to pay your dues each year: $10 per person ($6 for seniors). Your dues will be combined with those of your neighbors to support the core requirements of running Butchers Hill Association.

BHA Fundraising

The Butchers Hill Association raises funds for a variety of reasons. We fund greening and beautification efforts in the neighborhood; we support other local nonprofits; and we provide for our monthly newsletter and occasional social activities—because we know that eyes on the street and informed neighbors that know each other are two ways to increase local safety.

Periodically, we also have a special cause or event that we raise funds to support. We raised $20,000 in a recent Friends of Patterson Park capital campaign.

Current Campaign: Traffic Calming Bump-outs

We are fundraising to create bump-outs at both of the north corners of Pratt and Chester Streets. There is a concern for pedestrian and vehicle safety throughout the neighborhood. Per our Master Plan and Design Guidelines, one strategy to increase safety is to introduce bump-outs at the intersection. See the FAQ for more information on this action.
