Fall Butchers Hill Flea Market & Craft Fair - September 14 - for info and to volunteer click more>>

Date: 5 August 2019 12:00

To volunteer to help either the day of the flea market or beforehand, sign up at

The semi-annual Butchers Hill Flea Market and Crafts Fair is scheduled to happen on Saturday, September 14, from 9am to 3pm. Come join us at this free event in Patterson Park near the Pagoda and find some great treasures!

There will be over 160 vendors including your neighbors and local nonprofit organizations. Plus there will be wonderful music and great food.

The Butchers Hill Association will have a great booth of "fleas." Neighbors donate and 100% of the profits go to the two local schools we support, Commodore John Rodgers and Patterson Park Public Charter schools.

Do you want to have items you would like to donate? You can drop off items at the Lombard St. entrance to the park, on Patterson Park Ave. Donations are deductible, we are a 501(c)(3) organization.
Money raised through the food booth and the flea market goes to the Butchers Hill Assocation. We, in turn, support a number of local nonprofits. There will be a list posted near the food booth.
Thanks to our vendors, many of whom have been with us for years.
Thanks to all our fifty plus volunteers, without you there would be no flea market.
Thanks to our organizing committee which meets ten months a year, organizing, brainstorming, and working for hours during the event.
Thanks to the City of Baltimore Department of Recs and Parks.
Thanks to Parks and People.
Thanks to the Friends of Patterson Park.
Thanks to Butchers Hill for being a wonderful place to live and volunteer!

Butchers Hill Flea Market Vendor Information

Date: 6 August 2019 00:00

We're sold out! Hope to see you in the park on Sept. 14!

Welcome to the 2019 Fall Butchers Hill Flea Market & Craft Fair vendor site! Please read the following before proceeding to purchase your space.

* Spaces are $35 for an individual and $100 for a corporation.

 * Pay with a credit card or Pay Pal.  Your receipt from Pay Pal will be the only document you will receive confirming payment as a vendor. (You may receive this either by printing your receipt - always the last page of the sign up process and they will ask if you want to print, or you are sent an email.)

* The email address on the PayPal receipt is what we will use to contact you, including how we will send your space number and other information needed to enter the park on September 14. Please check this email account regularly so you don't miss important information. Also add and to your contact list and/or your safe sender list so that our messages don't go to your spam folder.

 * The "Special Instructions" field is where you can put any special needs you have regarding your space. We will do our best to accommodate everyone on a first-come, first-served basis, but can make no guarantees due to the ever-changing nature of a public park.

* The website will be shut down after 150 vendors sign up.

 * Spaces will be preassigned and emailed to you approximately five days prior to the flea market.

 * By signing up, you agree to all of the rules of Patterson Park and the Butchers Hill Flea Market committee, including these things to know for the day of the flea market:

 * The flea market will be Saturday, September 14. There is no rain date.

 * The Butchers Hill Association will hold the only city permit allowing food sales at this event.

 * Gates open 6:00 a.m. No cars will be allowed in after 8:00 a.m. If you arrive later, you will need to walk your goods into the park. No trailers will be allowed in after 6:30 a.m.

 * Enter at Baltimore St & Luzerne. Drive in bearing left until you reach the check in.

 * No vehicles allowed over the size of a 10' U-Haul truck which measures 19 feet long, 6 feet high, and 6 feet wide. Anything larger (in any direction) will be turned away.

  * To minimize traffic congestion, all vehicles longer than 20' (combined length with trailer) will only be allowed into the park prior to 7am.

 * Print and bring your vendor receipt, map, rules, and space number with you. (These will be included in the email with the space assignment.) Also bring your PayPal receipt (emailed to you when you pay.) Alternatively, you can have the documents with you on your cell phone or electronic device. If you opt for this method, please have them ready to show at the check-in point to avoid causing a delay.

 * Bring change. We expect that there will be an ATM available outside the white house. Plan on lots of $10's & $20's being handed to you.

 * ALL cars must be out of the park by 9 a.m. No exceptions.

 * There will be a coffee cart in the morning and a water/soda cart in the afternoon.  There will also be students at the cart who can do lunch runs for you.

*Trash bags will be provided toward the end of the day. Please take any trash away with you. Help us keep Patterson Park beautiful. You may not leave anything (trash or unsold items) at your space when you leave. Baltimore City Violation/Code/Section 7-608.1: DUMPING OVER 25 LBS OF WASTE ON PUBLIC PROPERTY: Fine $250.00. We will have Park Rangers on site with the authority to cite violators.

*A Green Drop truck will be parked near the exit for those of you who want to make any donations at the end of the day. Vehicles will form a line to donate and workers will help unload/load as quickly as possible. To keep the line moving, drivers must please stay in their car until they are at the truck.

See you on September 14 in Patterson Park!
